Library Lines September 2004

Thanks to Donnetta Byrd, we now have six computers in the library networked. What a fabulous job she did! In addition she reworked a used computer and donated it to the library. She is also the one responsible for getting this catalog online along with our magazines, teaching pictures, and vertical file. We are also grateful to Jim Freeman who helped by installing memory and disk drives along with swapping around monitors during the week of September 6.

We are keeping one computer that is not connected to the network. It is near the outer library entrance. It has a printer connected to it and it has software that will enable our users to type up documents and print them out. This is maintained as a convenience to our library customers who may use this anytime the office is open.

We urge you to consult the Newscaster each week for other information concerning the library.
