The library has now connected one of its computers to the digital projector which was once used in the sanctuary. It is now possible to have this connected to the internet and project those images on the screen in the library. As long as the print is not small this projects quite well. It will also accept power point programs saved to a CD. Committees, councils, and other groups are welcome to use this.

In addition to the internet catalog which you can access on this site, you can also access the library catalog by clicking on the lexwin icon on the library computers. This program allows you to do more advanced searches of the subjects in our catalog. Remember that you can also search the magazines, teaching pictures, and vertical file both at home and in the library. This means that folks who have back issues of the Biblical Illustrator at home may also consult our indexing services to find the issue which as the material they need.

Two adult books which the library has recently received are worthy of your attention. First, there is The Leadership Lessons of Jesus written by Bob Briner and Ray Pritchard. The authors here present 52 short chapters filled with advice to help you become a more effective leader. For instance, "Resist the temptation [when soliciting members of a committee, council, etc.] to extend your invitation through a letter or phone call. No other invitations have the power and appeal of the one-on-one method."

The second book is It's Not About Me by Max Lucado. Lucado declares here that self-promotion, self-preservation, and self-centeredness don't really make us happy, even though everyone has told us that. He tells us here how to bump our lives off self-center and experience the meaning-charged life we were meant to have.
